Spicy Homemade Kale Chips

Vegan, spicy, healthy and so fun to eat and share, this is the healthiest snack you will ever eat, it is lower in calories than regular potato chips and kale is rich in fiber, iron, calcium and vitamins such as K, A and C, so for the next time you think of a snack think kale chips.

These are the best kale chips you will ever have! The chili flakes and garlic give them a nice kick you will keep coming back for.

  • 1 bunch of kale ( 4-5 cups ) rinsed and dried
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


  1. Preheat the oven to 356 F (180 C), line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl mix together melted coconut oil, minced garlic, paprika and salt and set them aside.
  3. Remove the tough ends and inner stems, cut them into bite size pieces.
  4. Place the kale pieces in a large bowl, add the oil and spices mixture and toss the kale to be fully coated.
  5. Spread the kale in the baking tray, bake in the oven for 12- 14 minutes or until crisp, remove from the oven and serve.
